Eric Willison
Partner/Director of Sales

With over 20 years in this industry, Eric Willison started playing music at an early age and continues to write, record and perform to present with his band The Shiners. Touring the US and Canada, he has seen numerous projects secure International licensing, publishing and distribution deals, contributing to overseas chart attention in Germany and surrounding territories.

Eric graduated with honors as a Recording Engineer from the faculty of Music Industry Arts and Business in London, ON, Canada. Ten years experience as a Sales and Production Manager for several Media Design brokerages and CD Manufacturing companies has developed his expertise in the areas of Printing, Replication and Packaging.

Much respect for the sound production process was gained during a two year contract as General Manager of Distortion Studios, a world-class recording, production and mastering facility in Ottawa, Canada.

Eric understands our music community from writing to retail and beyond, and as Director of Sales and Business Relations at EDT Media, he insists on nothing short of highly and happily maintained customer relations. Eric is also a dedicated husband and father of two, and enjoys camping, skiing and playing hockey.

David Cain
Partner/Audio Mastering

David Cain's musical background includes classical music training, jazz and musical arranging. He played music professionally for six years before moving making the transition to audio mastering.

In 1993 David founded Shark Fin Digital, the first company in Ottawa to burn audio C-R masters. Subsequently renamed SoundMaster Studios, this facility has seen thousands of CD production masters have pass through its doors. David currently masters between 100 and 200 CDs a year for clients from all over North America in all styles of music from hip-hop to classical, country to metal, world to pop.

David Cain has given talks and lectures on mastering at Algonquin College, The Audio Recording Academy and The School of Recording Arts. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society and has been interviewed on radio and television and been quoted in articles in Monitor Magazine, Mix Magazine and Remix Magazine.

An active member of Ottawa's music community, David was president of one of Ottawa's largest recording studios, Distortion Studios Inc., from 1998 and 2004 and was executive director of Capital Music Conference in 2000 and 2001.

Terry McMillan
Partner/Creative Director

A consummate music fan and an an accomplished designer, Terry McMillan has designed hundreds of CD packages for independent and signed musicians including David Gogo, Trevor Findlay, Tracey Brown, Beautiful Nubia, The Shiners, Garrity, Tammy Raybould, Lisa Hart, and Chairman George to name a few. She has designed posters, newspaper and magazine ads for The Cooper Brothers, David Gogo, Jeff Healey, Downchild Blues Band, Little Feat, Blackie & the Rodeo Kings, Johnny Winter, and BB King.

Before joining EDT Media as Creative Director she held the position of art director at two major CD manufacturing brokers. Terry has designed DVD interfaces, web sites and print projects for EDT Media clients.

Terry's track record also extends to corporate and government design including Federal Identify Program (FIP) and Common Look and Feel (CL&F) compliant web sites for the federal government. Other web design clients include the Prime Minister’s Office, Canadian Toy Testing Council, CCRS (NRCan), Public Service Commission, Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, NCC (Youth Ambassador Magazine On-line), Alcon Canada, Elections Canada, Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

Terry graduated with First Class Honors from the Graphic Design program at Algonquin College. She brings her experience in design, from the animation industry, to music and media packaging, to corporate print and web design to every job that she is involved with. She is always ready and willing to help with any design project or to answer any questions about design.
